Mrs. Bareth studied Chinese, Russian and business economics. Having completed her diploma work in Chinese she graduated as the Bachelor of Arts, P.R. China. In Germany she received further academic degrees of the Diplom-Interpreter and Diplom-Kauffrau (FH).
Mrs. Bareth began her professional career in the early 1990s as the assistant project leader and referent for China projects in one of the biggest German international automotive companies. She composed joint venture contracts, clarified all legal, tax- and customs aspects relating to the establishment of new joint ventures. Later she took the position as the Controller of International Projects and subsidiaries world-wide. With the emphasis on Asia and Eastern Europe she worked on several strategic projects including the establishment of joint ventures in Russia and China.
For the last two years Mrs. Bareth worked as the Manager Controlling and Company Development in Nanjing, China. She was responsible for implementation of Controlling Systems and planning as well as the company analysis, research and development. During her time in Nanjing the company became the benchmark for other subsidiaries in the group.
In her nearly twenty years of professional experience Mrs. Bareth not only witnessed China’s rapid development but also took active part in it.
Invited by many organisations Mrs. Bareth gave series of lectures on business with China. Mrs. Bareth is also a Public Certified Interpreter and Translator of Chinese and Russian for the High Court in Baden Wuerttemberg, Germany.
To share her experience with other companies Mrs. Bareth sets up the company “Bareth Management Consultants (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.”.
